First of all, I’m actually very surprised by the quality of the prices here. I expected them to be more expensive than the 40 series, but for the most part they aren’t.

The 580 is $200 cheaper than the 480 and the 5070 TI and 5070 are now $50 less. This is the first time I remember seeing a price drop on a new generation of Nvidia GPUs. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see if they’re actually cheaper in reality, but at least it’s a good start.

The 590 is more expensive though, that’s a $400 increase over the last generation’s 490, which is a pretty substantial increase, can this increase be justified though?
